Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about refrigerated shipping.
Why can’t I use UPS Standard for refrigerated items?
UPS Standard uses road transport which typically takes 3–7 business days. Our cold-chain packaging keeps items chilled for up to 48 hours, so express air freight (1–3 days) is required to ensure your items arrive in good condition.
Why are orders only dispatched on Mondays and Tuesdays?
By shipping early in the week, packages arrive before the weekend and avoid sitting in warehouses over non-delivery days. This minimises transit time and keeps the cold chain intact.
What if the gel packs have thawed when my package arrives?
Some thawing is normal for longer transit times. As long as the items are still cool to the touch, they are safe. If items feel warm or show signs of spoilage, take photos and contact us immediately with your order number.
Can I order refrigerated items during summer?
Yes. We use the same insulated packaging and gel packs year-round. However, during very hot periods we may hold shipments for a day to avoid heat waves during transit. We will contact you if this affects your order.
Do I need to refrigerate items immediately on arrival?
Yes. Place refrigerated items in your fridge as soon as possible after delivery. Check the product labels for specific storage instructions and use-by dates.
