Arla Cheese Prästost

Our delicious Arla Ko® Präst® is wonderfully creamy, with elements of saltiness, sweetness & pleasant acidity. The cheese goes well both on sandwiches and in your lasagna. Präst® has its roots in 18th-century Småland. The name comes from the fact that the cheese served as a means of payment when it was time to pay the church tax to the priest. When making the cheese, a little extra cream was added to appease the priest and to this day Präst® is a little fatter than other cheeses. Our Arla Ko® Präst® is made at Kalmar dairy using fresh milk from Swedish Arlagårdar. The Arla Ko® brand guarantees that the cheese is made from 100 percent Swedish milk.
